The Trump Administration rants about ABC News And NBC, Says They Should Lose FCC Licenses

The president walked out during his Meet The Press interview:

He simply can't and won't accept the 2020 election. Anyone who tries to say otherwise will get this response.

He says "Meet The Press is crooked."

The president then said, “a country can never be great with a dishonest press” before finally walking away.

Geez and as always wait for Chairman Carr to respond with Licence threats directly at Comcast owned NBC affiliates like WRC-TV Washington, KNBC and WNBC management having to contact their legal team via NBC Owned Stations President Valerie Staab to fight the FCC over the first amendment.

Which doesn't even make sense to anyone who has supposedly "aced" multiple cognitive tests. I mean, if they really had all the "proof" that said election was "stolen," then one of the stakeholders - the Republican Party, perhaps? - would have brought the full brunt of that evidence to bear instead of vague accusations of "irregularities."

That aside, it's painfully clear that the man can't handle criticism or even honest questions. It is scary to think that the person tasked with negotiating with the likes of President Xi and Vladimir Putin crumbles under the relatively friendly questioning of an American television journalist. Even more scary to think that his lap-dog at the FCC thinks his job is to protect the President from anything other than softball questions.

"What is this 'first amendment' you speak of, foolish proletariat?"

Here’s the other one the “Division Presidents” within NBCUniversal who has to spend more time with their legal team related to Trump and the FCC. As predicted it’s always going to be about the first amendment like in that Meet the Press interview.

They still soft pedal and don’t dig.

Joe Biden has a bad debate performance (and it was atrocious) and the stories about his fitness were all over. Somehow “old man has old man moment” was breaking news, splashed everywhere, the subject of breathless analysis. Clips of every stutter, every stumble were scrutinized in excruciating detail.

What we saw in Sunday’s interview, a deranged, volatile, overly emotional mess are given the sanewashing treatment. Oh, it rained. That was a factor (huh? Rain means you fly into fits of sexist rage over being challenged to present evidence of claims?). Anything to not call out the obvious.

Yes, pressing on lies (but stop softening the description, they are not “false claims,” they are l-i-e-s) is the job. Kudos for that. Push it.
Keep pushing it, but do it the way it would have been for any other president.

He always blames the media. Everybody's against him. He can only play the sympathy card when he's an outsider. It doesn't work when he's the government. He's in charge. The media is doing its job. The government has a lower approval rating than the media.

Another aside as a member of the media...

.... when i was up in Alaska managing an NPR station... various people on the right, locally, and nationally called me various things and accused me of various things... none of which were true

Here in WY in commercial radio Nothing has changed about who I am, what I do , how I do it and my standards/ethics. But guess what? none of its called into question or even mentioned when I say Im the news director here, for no other reason than we arent NPR

Heres More theres a lawsuit directed at CNN over the 2020 election. But then again CNN is targeted this time around over the Paramount/WB merger with pending approvals and lawsuit by states over antitrust concerns.

I had a couple few interactions with Arizona politicians in my time (mostly recording PSAs or handling a talk show/podcast remote session) and it was an interesting mix. I never let on my political leanings, but for the most part the politicians and pundits on the right were friendly enough, even when I handled an interview on NPR's Weekend Edition. Same with a couple sessions I handled for Pod Save America. The one weird thing I saw was when I had a Governor in studio who became known for wagging a finger at Obama. We were making small talk, and she was very personable...until the hangers-on arrived (in the form of managers). They were getting pictures and glad-handing when someone mentioned some policy thing (immigration, IIRC) and it was like someone had thrown a switch. The friendly lady I was talking to morphed into her "final form" in an instant, and started shouting at Obama as if he was in the studio next door. I was like "um...he's not here right now, and what happened to the person I was just talking to?"

On the other hand, our current junior Senator (Gallego) was a blast. He's a bit more polished now, but he's pretty much the same guy whether the mic is on or not.

Trump and his allies the Ellison's have been chomping at the bit to gut CNN like they've been CBS.
Because they see great opportunity with a well known brand that has declined to just mediocre six-figure audience sizes but which has value if rebuilt and restructured. At present, it loses money and is right at the edge of the cliff that falls into "worthless".

Ellison isn't in the TV business. He's in the movie business. The reason he wants WBD is for the incredible catalog, which is also why he bought Paramount.

When the dust settles, all of the cable and broadcasting will be sold. Including CNN.

depending on who they are, they will be friendly however some of them once they find out where you stand will either not be friendly trying GOADU into an adversarial type discussion or something like that

I interviewed a republican Senate candidate when I managed the NPR station in Alaska and she was pleasant and I had some very clear rules set out which she did not argue with, but I also think when it is a case where we radio people are doing something that will benefit either side. They’re gonna be nice to you because they need you more than you need them and they done well know if they flipped their nose at you that word will get out and they also realize if they do it multiple times it’ll become obvious.

Someone got their daily memo 😆😆

They have zero interest in actual business opportunities, just enforcing ideology for the lowest cost feasible.
