I went to the N.C. mountains this week as I usually do this time of year. While I no longer see any of what is going on in the auditorium, the two pastors of my church and another member were there as official delegates.
Where I eat breakfast, there is normally some terrible mess playing, and a voice says "iHeart 80s" or whatever it happens to be. Thursday, I went in and there was this great music playing that I could actually enjoy listening to.
I heard a voice say. "iHeart 50s".
It didn't last. The next day I went in and there was this noise. People in the Greenville SC area might have described this as being the old format of 93.3 the Planet. Since it was iHeart, maybe it was like the rock format that iHeart rock stations use. I couldn't quite make out with the voice said, but the second part of it was "2K". I don't think it was CHR or Hot AC because, like I said, all the songs were rock, and that wouldn't be the case with CHR or AC.
But I am so pleased that iHeart has some good music. It has been stated here that they also have a standards format, which is more of an oldies format, really.
