WKZL downgrade to C1

Now that's funny, but totally understood at the same time. :D) As I said, they're still there. Rockingham County is still, in a lot of ways, two different counties, with the Reidsville/Eden side not associating with the Madison/Mayodan/Stoneville side, not to mention Ruffin and Wentworth, not sure if I spelled that right. Caswell County is in a timewarp, don't get me started there LOL. Ah, the things a DJ learns...
You spelled them right. It was weird that Wentworth was the county seat. It seemed like it should have been Reidsville.

We went through Caswell County a lot to go to Danville.

I don't ever recall listening to WLOE and I don't know if we listened to WDVA, but I do remember WFRC and WREV. I have posted here that I wanted to see what those lights were that we would see on the way into Danville, and somehow we found them. It was really something to see those WDVA towers up close, if in fact that was WDVA.

Thanks for the info and memories. Yeah, I thought the same thing about the county seat, but reckon Wentworth is the center of the county (believe it or not). As I'm sure you know, in the early days of this country (Happy 250th Birthday America BTW), the center town of the county was, in fact, the county seat, so that's where the government, etc was located. Reckon those lights would have been WDVA, but this blind guy can't say for certain. :D) On Caswell County, part of it kinda juts into Reidsville and knew some good folk over that-a-way, but they were, as I said, in a timewarp. I remember WYNC, Yancyville (sp) was by the time I got there, mostly an Urban Gospel station, but once a week (maybe on a Monday or Tuesday afternoon/evening, can't remember), there was an older, white preacher brother, who played mostly Bluegrass Gospel music and some of his old preaching broadcasts from when he was on WGSB, Mebane. Reckon his landlord was a Pentecostal Holiness pastor, 'cause he played a weekly broadcast from him as well, maybe he payed for some of the time.
