U.S. Supreme Court takes sledgehammer to Federal regulatory structure

Both the audio and written transcripts of this report are given. While the Federal Reserve was spared in a separate ruling, pretty much everything else was not. The question that immediately comes to mind is how long Anna Gomez will have her current position on the FCC given this not wholly unexpected ruling.
It has been pointed out elsewhere that the FCC needs three commissioners for a quorum to get anything done, and that Gomez is probably safe for now.
Your heading reflects your personal political opinion. There are others who believe that the heading should be ""U.S. Supreme Court removes obstructions to presidential agendas that are within the President of the United States' intended power."
Those "others" elected the current president and are a majority.
Presidents should not have anything to do with independent bodies. They are independent for a reason.
It depends. There was a time not long ago when that same party was very concerned about the expansion of presidential power. Especially when it came to telling states how to operate. Sending federal troops into Alabama to enforce integration. The "intended power," as explained in the federalist papers, was to have checks and balances. No one branch could carry out an agenda without approval from another.
I worked with a lot of republicans in DC, and they all were concerned about the growth of the bureaucracy done under Roosevelt. The current president said he was going to "drain the swamp." Instead what he's done is concentrated presidential control over that swamp. They now all work for him. That's not the view of government Reagan, Goldwater, or anyone else had in mind. These agencies report to congress. The FCC reports to congress, not the president. But the congress has given up its constitutional role.
The congress gets its power from the people, not the president. The president is elected by chosen electors. But we have a congress that has been on vacation for two years. The people didn't vote for this agenda. The president outsourced the government to a group of unelected bureaucrats who've hijacked the government from the people.
Her term is up on Wednesday. The president could let her expire and just appoint a third republican.

FCC commissioners are appointed by the President of the United States and confirmed by the U.S. Senate.
And yet only one is allowed to fire a commissioner.
Where does that leave congressional oversight? Oh that's right. They're on vacation.
Then I’m sure you will have no problem when a future Democratic President gives the boot to all the Republicans in various government agencies. After all, that would be “within the President of the United States intended power.”

What's funny here is that the current reactionary Supreme Court has rather teed things up for the Democrats, if they are willing to play rough over the next few years. The Republicans have a few months left of their trifecta and probably are looking to exploit that position as best they can. After November there will likely be an opposing House, and possibly an opposing Senate, given historical patterns. The main job of the Democrats at that point is to gridlock and bung things up. Should the Demos get a trifecta in 2029, Katy bar the door because I sense a whole lot of retribution. And way fewer rules since the Supremes seem intent on creating a unitary government. That unitary stuff works both ways.

This is a common fallacy espoused by both parties. 31.97% of eligible voters in this country voted for Trump. 31.03% voted for Harris. 36.37% did not vote. Heck, becuase of third parties, Trump didn't even win a majority of all votes, theough he did get more votes than Harris*. The ONLY election in the last 13 where the Did Not Vote wing was actually outvoted by a candidate was in 2020, when Biden narrowly beat the did not vote group.
A majority of people in this country do not support Trump, nor do they support ANY candidate. But a party gets a win and calls it a mandate anyway.

The media and especially social media is an expert at amplifying drama. It deliberately amplifies things to get a reaction. It gets clicks, likes and in times past newspaper purchases and in turn generates revenue.
Your point is very well-taken. Unfortunately, what is good for commercial radio ratings (shouting matches between callers and talk radio hosts) is very bad for democracy. Such shouting matches usually provide a lot more opinions than factual information on which to base one's decisions in the voting booth.
Actually, I took my heading almost word-for-word from NPR's headline of the story. And while that heading may not be totally unbiased (the use of the word "sledgehammer" to describe what a majority of the U.S. Supreme Court Justices did here may have been too strong), nevertheless, it remains a great deal less biased than your proposed replacement.

I don't really think we want to get into the President's approval numbers here. The topic of the thread has to do with when or if (most likely when) President Trump will fire Anna Gomez from the FCC and the possible consequences of that firing on what the FCC does now and in the future with regard to both television and radio. For example that thread about the FCC trying to not renew the licenses of the Disney owned-and-operated television stations...
