One of my favorite movies is Pump Up The Volume with Christian Slater (affiliate link)... although I would never suggest, recommend, or condone someone operating a station without a license.
It's just interesting to see people trying to get away with it...
Did anyone hear the station while it was on? Was he flying by the seat of his pants, or did he try to sound like a licensed station?
Reminds me of "Dr Phillip Duncan" running the HipHop format on WNTY when I came to Southington to manage the station... It wasn't pirate radio, but sometimes the way he ran things was questionable. Hence, he lost his broker contract.
Ah, yes... little WNTY popping up again. I laugh again, thinking about how so much was said about WNTY/WXCT. It certainly is memorable for some of us and for different reasons.
