Resonate Radio offloads most of its stations

Rex Morris and Guy Dobson have offloaded the Australian regional radio assets of Resonate Radio. The sale leaves them with stations they are expected to retain in Hawaii.

Interesting side note.. I was in Las Vegas for NAB back in 2015, staying at Polo Towers... as im going up i the elevator, i notice the guy wearing an NAB badge around his neck and say "I can see by the neck badge youre here for the same reason i am". WE talked, he handed me his card.... it was one of the Resonate big cheese leaders, i forget which one though

I wish their stations streamed. They used to have website but went all Facebook... and honestly? In this day and age, I can kinda see why.

You may have noticed that KRKE's "website" is nothing more than a single page, maintained by me on my site and accessed via a URL redirect from krke.fm, with a banner logo, a second banner promoting our special programming, a huge button to access the stream, another banner giving the owner's e-mail address for potential advertisers to reach him at, and the bottom banner promoting eightieschannelmusic.com where I sell a handful of out-of-print CD titles.

More and more, I see what was the usual "website content" moving to station apps.

Looking at the article, it appears the new owner is not going to make any format changes or do any mass firings. I guess Australia's FM radio scene is doing better than the U.S. FM radio scene.

They own way more AM's then FMs
Interesting that theyre keeping the Hawaii stations they own.

They arent the only aussies to own US stations. Frontier Media in Texas Alaska was 100 percent owned by aussie citizens
