WFAN To Be Simulcast on SiriusXM

RadioInsight has an article stating that the local sports station, along with a number of others owned by Audacy, will be carried by the satellite radio service. The expected starting date is September 1.
The article also mentions that some Audacy News and talk stations will be carried, too. Perhaps that will include WINS.
I wonder whether WFAN’s play by play broadcasts will air, as they may overlap existing SiriusXM sports channels.
It’s interesting that SiriusXM is paying Audacy for carriage, rather than the other way around.

The league contracts will override the broadcasts.

Yeah but aren't all the leagues already on SiriusXM? It seems pointless not to just let the games play through for convenience sake. Unless of course these are just going to be relays of the internet streams.
MLB may have something to say about that. I can see the Sirius baseball channel programmers kicking & screaming about losing listeners if Audacy carries the OTA programming completely on Sirius. I'm sure Audacy won't create a stink about it as it's probably a coup for them to get onto Sirius.

Why would MLB care? As long as you're exposed to the advertising and they receive their cut of the revenue, they'll be thrilled.
