What we've been seeing is there has been a lot of reinterpretation or misinterpretation of law. For example, with regards to the FCC, the use of the words "public interest." But the main issue I see now is to specify the role of agencies such as the FCC so that "independent" means what it says. That means the FCC should not become a tool of the president to carry out his political agenda. It also means agencies such as the FCC must be bi-partisan as intended in the law. The current congress is allowing the supreme court to interpret what the law says, rather than tell the court what they meant. That needs to change in order for this government to work.

True but posts and clicks ( or whatever the ad buyers look at ) help the numbers of this board. I would look at it as a same commercial that been running for years.. As long as there isn't liability to the site just business. Of course he has the right to do what he wants. It's his business.
NBC had a nature documentary. That's children's programming. And while it was a rerun, some kids (and even adults) might not have seen it, and they added fun facts this time.
That makes it worse in NBC's case. And unlike ABC (which pre-empted part of a rerun that followed) they didn't even bother to show the rest.

The program in question is part of a repeat of "The Americas" series (with the addition of fact infoboxes this time, which I think was a great move on NBC's part) but it is not labeled as "E/I". It's indeed very educational but I wouldn't classify it as "children's programming".
Unless, of course, you think I am a child at age 70, because I have been watching it every week during this repeat.
My opinion is that it should be E/I. Of course, there are adults watching it too.
I also like “The Americas”, but I have been called childish…
None of the Big 5 networks E/I programming are "Children's Programs." They are all aimed at ages 13 and up to bypass FCC Children's Programming Commercial Limits, which only applies to programs aimed at ages 12 and under, but they can still be counted as E/I as long as they are aim at ages under 16 and are Educational.
Anyway, I would think a lot of children would be watching.

That is not the point. Read the post above yours. Networks aren't going to classify prime time programming as E/I, regardless of your opinion that they should, because of the legal limits on commercial time when a show is thus classified as having a primary target under 12.
All it would take is one lawsuit from some disgruntled parents' group and the entire benefit of running something like "The Americas" in prime time disappears. That's why it's not classified as E/I.
Of course a lot of children have been watching. Probably entire families have been watching it together. That doesn't mean it has to be E/I.
