02 June Es into Myrtle Beach

Had a huge opening from Texas tonight. Went from just north of the DFW Metroplex south to near Waco and east along I-20 to east of Shreveport. Best catch was a 250w repeaterof KDKR on 99.9. I've heard about folks catching a LPFM/translator/repeater at over 1000 miles, but this was my first (1037mi).

On a Global Tuners receiver in Greensboro, NC, I made a log myself

2011 ET: 88.1 KAYT Jena, LA, R&B music and ID for KAYT. Good signal almost local-like at times. Also unid 92.7.

FWIW - The DX Sherlock map is showing some good sporadic-E activity with an MUF at 81 MHz - some double-hop paths to Portugal/Spain and western Africa. Checked analog TV channels 2 thru 6 just now but didn't see anything coming in here yet in Vermilion, OH
