1,000 mile FM skip 6/10 in Northeast Ohio

While driving my car tonight, encountered some interesting FM skip from North Dakota and Minnesota (a distance of 987 miles), including...(from my RDS in the car): Z94.7 (a top 40), Life 97.9 (Christian), Real Country 102.3, and 103.1 the Raven. After doing a search online, turns out most of these signals come from Fargo, ND, Detroit Lakes, MN and Jamestown, ND.

My question to those who know on the board...are people in Fargo, North Dakota picking up Cleveland and Akron stations at the same time. Does the wormhole work both ways?

To the best of my knowledge, it should.

Since the signals reflect off an Es cloud half way between the two points, those on the other end of where you are (where you hear the signals from) should also be picking up the stations from your area.

Using a Global Tuners node in Montreal [FM-DX Montreal], I had a lot of fun tonight! Skip ended at *12:30AM* this morning! [ET of course!] All times listed on the logs are in Eastern time.

95.7 UNID...w/the wx warning location clue Hwy 71 and I-80, that's KSWI (IIRC ;) Atlantic IA

aah, memories of E-skip on a Technics receiver in the 80s. She's going to be 35 years old this year and I have to brag on her. The free-wheeling tuner knob doesn't spin as fast or far as it did in the day and the volume control pot is a little noisy, but it still sounds great.

Thank you! KSWI counts as the unid 95.7.
