1:1 Balun for 75 ohm

Need to make a 1:1 Balun for 75 ohm cable and feed point.

Need to go from 75 ohm dipole to 75 ohm coax. the transmitter is a FMS2000 FM Stereo cable modulator.

RG-6 or 6QS will be the feeder cable. I know this can be done with a 1/4 wave peice of coax, but since this is a 75 ohm vs 50 ohm system that it won't be done the same as a 50 ohm system. the dipole will be an old set of tv rabbit ears elements.

any suggestions?

i am competent with RF stuff but by far no where near some of the geniuses that frequent here.

also i am still trying to swap for a FMBA1C and TM100. any takers? till i get a swap this is my temp solution

also has all these part 15 sites died or what? part 15us is gone again and the traffic here and on the others sites is dismal.

It sounds like your intended "solution" will indeed put you well past the field strength limitation of 15.239 if you plan on remaining within the legal confines of Part 15 regulations.

As far as Part 15 related sites, HobbyBroadcaster.net has been up and operating non-stop, supplying reference information and related news to Part 15 radio enthusiasts. Our traffic seems to have spiked since the site you spoke of has been down.

I don't care really i live in an apartment complex off of the beaten path. if i set it up to where it dies out around the edge of the property no one is going to care or know. i also happen to have the 2nd story apt dead center of the complex so meeting that goal should not be too hard.

the fms2k is adjustable in power from zero to? 50dbmv? whatever these cable modulators put out. be lucky if it's 10mW into a 50 ohm load maybe a little better to a 75 ohm load.

how many turns? will be using RG 6 or 6qs for coax. will make 3 inch diameter like you suggest. how much loss will that give me?
