Today, Don Weeks marked his thirtieth year on WGY (including a few months on their new FM simulcast). As he is preparing to do his final show this Friday, Weeks looks back on his remarkable three decades at the station and half-century in the media altogether:

It actually works out to be about 1566 weeks, but factor out his vac/sick time it is probably less than 1500.

I saw a news segment on Don Weeks last show and it showed him with almost no hair. I hope he doesn't have cancer or something that requires him to have chemo. What ever it is, I hope he gets well soon.

Don has disclosed in at least one newspaper that he has a rare blood disorder. He seems confident that he can recover. I know that the pictures of him have him looking a lot different than what he used to, but he does appear optimistic.
