1 Down & 1 About To Go?

I was down in Sea Isle City this weekend and it was really bad turning on 106.7 and hearing Nelly instead of The White Stipes.....DOX was such a great station and it is sad that it can no longer be heard on FM.......But while down there I got to check out WJSE and I noticed they now just call themselves "102.7"....I also heard no DJ's and in in between songs all they say is "102.7" or "102.7 More Rock".....So it seems that WJSE won't be around much longer either unless they are in the middle of an identity shift......It really sad that the 2 stations I really liked have made changes.....I guess it will be all XM when I go back in a few weeks.
______________

Well, I for one really like the new 106.7, but that's not the point.

If you listen to 102.7 long enough you'll hear them gradually phasing in the name "Beach 102.7".

I'm not sure what 93.5/WZBH thinks of this - basically the same demo and both cover Cape May County.

WZBH might reach southern Cape May County but they only target Delmarva where WJSE doesn't reach....Heck you can't even get that good of a signal from WJSE in Cape May along the bay do to WQSR Baltimore stepping all over it......So I don't think WZBH would care too much.
______________

Count me in on the side that thinks Q107 is garbage. Automated CHR doesn't cut it. CHR is local presentation and jocks.

I listened to a great deal of WJSE this weekend, but did not hear one mention of 102.7 The Beach. I did a lot of "102.7 - YOUR Rock".
______________
