Merry Christmas and here's to a happy and exciting 2008.
gabigley, I have asked around about the WKSW move from 101.7 to 101.5 and have not been able to get an answer on it. I do know WKSW is supposed to move their studios eventually from Springfield to 717 E. David Rd. in Kettering(The headquarters for the rest of the ML/Dayton stations-WGTZ, WDHT, WROU, and WING-AM)but when they make the switch to 101.5 is anyone's guess. Stay tuned. ???gabigley1 said:dawg4life said:Now that Radio 106.7 has emerged and the dust has settled, when do we get to see the next three sticks 101.7, 102.5 and 104.3 make a move into the Columbus market? Update: 2 Down, 1 to go-101.7
102.5 is now on the air simulcasting CD-101 programing and will replace CD-101 once the stations is sold to the present CD-101 owners.
104.3 won't be built because it's application was dismissed by the FCC. It remains to be seen if they reapply to move their stick closer to Cbus.
This leaves 101.7. Any updates on when/if they will get on the air from a new stick in Cbus? Their CP to move their stick to Cbus is good for another 15 months now. Another move-in has to happen in Dayton before this can happen. What is up with the Dayton move in?

gabigley1 said:Yes, 101.7 and thanks for the update. I see their NEW CP was granted just last week:

Yes prior to the current CP they had applied to move to the tower north of town.. Apperently it appears they still want to target the Newark area with the current CP mod placing the tower just slightly out of Johnstown
They will not 'cover' as much of the Columbus Metro as the prior Mod Requests (the old CVO tower and the one north of town).

It looks like they are going to lose some coverage of the Columbus Metro aera with their new CP.

How did you locate that link? The 57db service-contour Google map link I found near the bottom of the following page (which indicates CP modification granted 11/3/10 in the "Application Info") produces a map which has much greater coverage westward.
