1 station I miss is 105.9 WQMF 2/WXNU

At www.LKYRadio.com check out the "Other Louisville Stations" page and go to WVSL 105.9. There is an aircheck from 6-2-93 when they were testing.(Ray Shelton is the voice you hear).Also at WVSL is an air check of 'QMF,too from 11-5-93.
 
My favorite station louisville ever had Q2 it is a shame we do not have the equivalent in 2010 i loved this station!!!

I know i know alternative can't sell in this market or most so they say!!!
 
Few people realize that a lot of the Q2 programming was played from a VCR. They did that because you could put 8 hours of audio on a single tape, and they only had to change tapes 3 times a day. That was the backup system for the Pioneer CD Jukebox at first, but after the Pioneer died for good that's all they had.

So if you thought you heard that hour before.... you were right. :)
 
I agree 100%. QMF was seamed to have a problem adding the new music of the time so they added it as a second station then completely made it alternative. At first QMF1 would say what was coming up on 1 and 2. They encouraged you to switch back and forth. It is sickening to think at the time they had such a huge playlist to choose from. Now they play the same 400 songs over and over.
Didn't Q2 die about the time that Clear Channel bought QMF? I know I've been on a big anti-CC rage, but it is so true that they (actually the deregulation) ruined radio in Louisville and beyond.
 
Bains capital has made radio worse since they bought clear channel.

Whomever came up with premium choice needs to be fired and banned from radio for life ???
