Him and D to the J are neck and neck for highest post count I believe

I knew I was getting close; a couple posts back I think I was at 9,998 so check my post count
to see where I am now! Thanks

Or, is this like when your car depreciates in value after it hits 100k on the odometer? :)

EDIT: Oh my, THIS post is #10,000 :) Meanwhile FreeRepublic informs me
>>You've posted a total of 1,552 threads and 16,886 replies.

Head honchos of the board have congratulated me on reaching 10,000 and hope I'm here for many years to come! Wow, this plus my 30th anniversary as a WMWM DJ, all in the same month!

Interestingly, it appears that the "number of posts" is updated on ALL of your posts, each time you create a new post. So it is impossible to search for (in your case) the historic post #10,000. Seems to me that it must have been much harder to design the board software this way than to freeze the number in each new post at whatever it was when you posted the item we're reading. So in this case, the price for losing the history is more complex BBS software. Who woulda' thunk it? Of course, the BBS might also be designed to display "THIS post was author's #xxxxx; author's latest post is #yyyyy." At the risk of information overload, we could then have it both ways.

Raccoon, you're probably well above 10,000 posts if you count the many versions this board has had over the years.

I think all of the posts linked to raccoonradio's username qualify, that is, if he wasn't going by another handle beforehand.

If you want to search for post 10,000, you might want to try a "view the last posts of this member" search on the profile; however, I don't think that is functioning properly...

@raccoonradio: Congrats on not one, but two milestones this year! Now it's a race to catch up with Eduardo... ::)
