I don't know anything about Greg Talone, but I do know for a fact that Jim Lytle had left. Talone is a fill-in like Lytle was.
 
Name sounds familiar. I believe he worked at WTVH in Syracuse for awhile as the weekend wx guy... then landed the chief wx guy job at one of the Watertown stations.

I'm leaning toward WWTI... it's been a long time, but then again, it's been a long time since WWTI had news. No idea what happened to the guy after that. But if he's at WHEC now, maybe he has some kind of personal ties to upstate.
 
Talone was at TVH in the mid 90s...Then became the chief at WWTI in Watertown for like 3 years. They booted him, I think, to bring in Jay Donovan from across the street at channel 7. I thought he did weekend mornings at WSTM for a while, a couple years back...I could be wrong. He's a Batavia native.
 
Yes, I do vaguely remember Talone on weekend mornings at WSTM. I'm usually not up early enough to see weekend morning shows, so I only saw him maybe one or two times.
