10 years ago today

10 Years ago today Spike O'Dell signed off of WGN Radio at a hometown voices tour broadcast, which your can find the video from the archives, this morning he joined Justin Kaufmann filling in for Steve Cochran, and if you missed it, you can find the podcast at https://wgnradio.com/2018/12/12/spi...ar-anniversary-of-signing-off-from-wgn-radio/ . I haven't heard all or any of it yet, but the looks from the podcast that it sounds that he has not regretted it since, I have just a little bit of the igniting as I wanted to see how long it was, and it is 14 minutes and 44 seconds. And some might wonder if Spike O'Dell had seen the writing on the wall, and that is why he choose to return early at age 55, as waiting in the wings as the new program director the late Kevin Metheney. And after a few months on the job is when he really started to clean house, if you seriously believe WGN Radio is bad today, you should have been around then. He had fired some of the listeners favorites, and replaced with names like Jerry Ager and did his more style of talk radio, and he eventually hired a total radio rookie named Jim Laski, that was a corrupt Illinois Politician.
