Not a shameless plug just because he's a friend, but has anybody noticed how good the Buzz's HD2 is sounding? Fred's letting Matty Cockerham loose with a good 'ole Omnia Hot. Best sounding station on the dial!

I'm sure it's great, but the answer is "no"...no one has noticed. HD radio makes AM stereo look like the ipod
 
Its always a lot fun to go into Best Buy or Radio Shack and ask the sales people about HD Radio. Very rarely do you find anyone vaguely familiar or even aware. HD Radio doesn't seem to be taking off.
 
Oh man, are you right about that! I went into Best Buy one day to ask about HD Radio, and though the guy I corraled seemed knowledgeable, he couldn't answer many questions about it. IF there was a HD converter you could attach to a current stereo, there may be a future in HD, but it's just not the right technology for right now. BTW - I DID ask the guy at BB about a converter, and he looked at me like I'd just stepped off a spaceship! All I want is a car with a USB port so I can take my MP3 files with me and listen to that as I don't walk around with headphones on.....anymore. Had a rental a few months back that had this feature so I crammed my thumbdrive full and was really enjoying it. sweet.
