(1) True.
(2) Meaning....what...65, 70 other L.A. signals could be on your radar too?
(3) I'd bet on "may/will", not "did/is" just yet.
(4) No...one end of the metro to the other, maybe...but it's never been one of the market's best. And as for a Spanish-language format, I don't think Bonneville has ever done that with one of their stations.

Last time I checked, this is a radio board, you know where we speculate everything! I feel I asked pretty legitimate question..."Is Bonneville close to dumping this format?" Or, would it be a good idea to go to a Spanish format knowing the frequency covers all of Southern California?

I don't see what's sick about asking about the future of radio stations? Well, unless, you work at 100.3 "All about the music!"

One thing I love about this board is that it's okay to criticize other stations, but it's a no-no to criticize stations that some folks love! Some people on here are a bunch of hypocritical old fu**ers!

Please, tell the post where I criticized THE MUSIC on 100.3! Crooked opinions??? Like I said past criticisms have come up on this station in the past, so I have evidently "read the board". In comparison to you, I do post to this board less, I don't have 1000 posts quite yet!

As far as a KSWD flip, I don't think Boneville likes the position The Sound is in, but they're not desperate for a flip. They're doing pretty good in Orange County actually, but does that even matter??? Probably not.

I'm angered because I said the exact same thing ChannelFlipper said about 97.1 on another thread, and I was told basically to calm down, it was a bad format, the listening public decided the station is bad, and don't take radio personally. I had no idea they were doing well in the O.C., but it just upsets me how this FM station is like 26th in the market in the ratings, and you can't let people know that it's doing bad in the ratings without getting smart ass responses...(**cough, cough** vsa)

Bonneville seemed quite ok hemorrhaging money at the start-up.
I do believe their interest in that property is to be able to have a full market signal in LA when the LAST DAYS come.

Thats the funniest thing I've ever read on this board! 2012 is dangerously close, but I'm not sure when the Mormon calendar has the Rapture scheduled.

Anyway, it seems a little premature to pull the plug on this station, when it was noted they have invested a lot of money into this format. We have already seen a tweak at the station, as they shifted gears from AAA to a more Classic Rock/Hits direction. I assume we will continue to see fixes in an attempt to better compete with KLOS and, to some extent KCBS, for at least another year.

My best guess, though, is that they flip to all Christmas just before December 2010. After the holiday, they flip the station to a Hot AC/ Adult CHR format. I think this is the most glaring hole in the market, especially in the days of PPM, and Bonneville seems like the most likely candidate to go in this direction.

I know, I also advocated CBS going in this direction if they drop the Wave. Its not my intention to endorse this format, as I don't particularly like the format or the music, I think it serves the lowest common denominator when it goes to being 'inoffensive' to listeners, thus it seems most logical in this market.
