I tuned in to WQRV in Huntsville today and it soulds like they, or at least Clear Channel, has tweaked their format some. They have been airing slogans like "greatest hits of the 60s and 70s" and so far the music has been just that. They cut the fluff from the 80's and today that the soft rocks like WRSA and WAHR have, and finally made their way back to an oldies format. I have to admit it sounds great, since the closest channel I have that offers oldies is WKXM Gold 97.7 in Winfield, and WAFN Fun 92.7 in Arab. I have been waiting for something to change in local radio for a while now, and my wishes have been half way granted. Now the only thing left for now is to hope that WKLD returns with their new format, which I hope is oldies or classic country (#2 would be better in my opinion)
