100.3 The Sound PD: Ladd would be a good fit

Right. So L.A. radio listeners didn't give a shit about him anymore anyway.

No one's gonna pay him the salary he'll look for knowing that he gets lousy ratings, no matter what 'name recognition' he brings to the table.

Next.

Jim is much too talented to kowtow to all the corporate number crunching bigwigs and their lackeys. Is it wonder why terrestrial radio has been steamrolling straight to the crapper for some time now. Then I hear comments like Yours and I say You get what You deserve!

Right, because there are no "corporate number crunching bigwigs" running satellite radio.

While everyone is fawning all over Jim Ladd let's remember that he was the only one in LA to program his own show. I know plenty of DJ's if allowed to do that would probably put on a show much better or at least equal to his show. That was the only thing to set him apart. On a level playing field he'd be in the middle of the pack at best.

Good point, Uncle Bob. His ratings have been nothing to write home about either. (Most DJs think they know what the audience wants, but they don't.) And yes, the fawning is beyond tiresome.
