It looks like they're seeking to move?

"LOW POWER FM APPLICATIONS FOR AMENDMENT RECEIVED
------------------------------------------------

TX BPL-20170517ABJ KNPI-LP 195780 TEXAS PELICAN MEDIA Engineering Amendment filed 08/15/2017
E 100.5 MHZ PADRE ISLAND, TX "

Here is their website, which still shows the old frequency 93.3. http://knpilp.org/
It looks like it's owned by a family member of the guy who owns 103.3, 96.1 and 95.1 in Corpus Christi. I expect then that they'll fix it up in short order.

It was in fact *NOT* on-air over a month and a half ago... I'm not sure if plans for the LPFM changed, or it's just Fledgling, or what.

I see you talking about posting about stations in kansas like youre really there and listening... and i see/hear you doing the same with texas.

where exactly are you? You post about stuff most people dont care about.. you clog up this board with your nonsense ......

LOL I just figured the station should just turn in their license and let someone else have the channel if they aren't going to use.

They last filed a License to Cover last March. Perhaps it was just having technical problems July/August.
A Google search for KNPI 100.5 brings me to this outdated website however.

Somehow I have a feeling they never really went on the air.

Once again, making bold claims you pull out of thin air, claims you can't prove.

I find topics on these boards about stations I would otherwise have not heard of interesting and would like to see more of them.

This is a radio board. AnyHuman is talking about radio. You're just being a scold, which is not conducive to furthering discussion. Some discussion involves speculation. AnyHuman clearly marked his speculation with "perhaps" and "Somehow I have a feeling." Easy to read.

Instead of trying to shut down discussion, you could further the thread by adding some information or your own qualified speculation about KNPI-LP, if you have any. Or you could just give it a pass.

We need more participation here, not less. Well, maybe less unjustified berating.

He regularly makes comments like this about stations in houston, and environs along with kansas city.. with non proof of anything... and radio hobbyists wonder why stations dont wanna deal with us when we send a reception report, etc?

As long as he marks it as speculation (which he did in this case), that's one of the things this board is for. Do stations care about reception reports any more? The novelty wore off of them decades ago. Exciting for us, but I would imagine not so much for stations staffed at bare-bones levels.

some do, some don't...my point still stands though, we shouldn't make wildly uneducated probably inaccurate guesses.. and he often replies to himself with no one else participating in the threads

I suspect this LPFM never got on the air.

The website has never changed. No mention on other sites (chamber, city, etc.).

I have seen LPFMs seem like their had it together and were firming up relationships in the community only for them to sign on and be the operator's jukebox, ignoring the community at large. If that happened, perhaps they got on the air. But there has been no indication they ever did.
