100.5 WSSL

The station's HD signal has been out since the recent hurricane remnants came through. That includes their main channel and HD2 which had been running The Breeze format.

In other WSSL news, looks like morning host Bill Ellis got caught up in the iHeart layoffs as I see only Beth Bradley now as I checked WSSL's website moments ago. Up In Charlotte in the other Carolina, morning co-host Sarah Lee looks to have caught the blade as the Kat's site now lists Paul Schadt solo.

Maybe iHeart fired their engineering staff in the upstate, too. Now WROO' HD 2 is out. There's a carrier, but nothing playing. (You can see from the readout what SHOULD be playing, but nothing is there.)

Update: Charlie Munson, the last local daytime host on 92.5 WESC was also let go.

not the last of layoffs at iheart or other companies. i am confident that the best signals will be converted to digital access at home and in cars......and life goes on.

Bill Ellis is still at WSSL 100.5 and Kix Layton has moved from middays on WSSL to Weekday Mornings on 92.5 WESC filling the spot of Charlie Munson
