100.7 Foxtalk simulcast has scrolling!

It's a small discovery, but I was thumbing through my FM in my car today and discovered that when you put 100.7 on, the RDS scrolls "Fox Talk 950 the voice for lubbock." I think that is kind of nice, since it is the only frequency in Lubbock that has a scrolling animated RDS read-out. Also, 100.7 seems to have a stronger signal now (better than 104.3).

I just think that's great. It sounds like some neat things are happening over there at RAMAR!

Wow. That's the last station in Lubbock I expected to see scrolling RDS. Either way, it's nice to see a station using the scrolling. Most markets have it...even small markets...including Wichita Falls, San Angelo, Midland, Waco, and even Bryan/College Station.

I really hope to see other Lubbock stations follow....it'd be even cooler to see song scrolling. I hate not seeing the song that is playing on the radio around here (probably because I'm from the DFW area and am used to seeing the song playing).

One station that could really use the scrolling is Double T 104.3. Currently, the RDS displays "DBLT1043." However, my stereo picks up radio text, where the name will be displayed fully. However, not all stereos can pick up rtext.

If Ramar is using scrolling on 100.7, I wonder if we might see scrolling soon on Magic 937, Stars 973, and KTTU 1043.

Yeah... STARS could scroll the positions that they are currently looking to fill... like the one for morning show co-host. * Insert lazy evil laugh here and here*

They are?
I need to make a phone call...

They've actually hired a guy to sit in with Meridith for the mornings.

this answers the question how could this show get any worse...
but really, he's doing a fine job of "sitting" there, saying nothing of any importance for 4 hours without throwing up.
