I noticed that the station is now calling itself "100.7 Star". What would be the reason behind this? Is this a way to ease out the "Star" branding so listeners get accustomed to "100.7" and then put new branding afterwards (100.7 BZZ)?
I've also noticed that "Hi, this is {such and such artist}, and I'm on {obvious splice edit} 100.7" has obviously had the "Star" edited out. Seems like a re-branding is in the works.
Star needs to find its identity quick. The older a/c audience has WISH. The Q is finding its niche as the hot a/c, finally. And most everyone else that do not listen to country or classic rock listen to Kiss.
My main problem with Star is the lack of personality. The jocks always sound canned. The station itself sounds very cheap.
