100.7 The Tiger Aircheck

Since I brought the station up in another post here is a 45 minute unscoped aircheck of the late 100 dot 7 the tiger.

This is from July 31 1996, their final day on the air....... If any ones interested i'll post more in the aircheck area.

I also have unscoped tapes of rock 92.3 1996, 107.3 the Tiger 1997, KLOL 101.1 1994, 106.1 the Zephyr 1996.

Smashed, It's probably just not your type of music. 100 dot 7 the Tiger was one of my favorites but I liked the newer rock. TK101 Pensacola and WYYX in Panama City FL also jump out as great rock stations. TK is Clear Channel *GASP* 979 CPR was also good last time I was in the MS Gulf Coast area (over 2 years ago).These days, KISS 99.5 San Antonio is the rock station I'd probably say is the best I know of.

Going to Destin this weekend, will check out TK and try to DX 97x Panama City.

i actually like the stuff coming out now. i hear a lot of it on octane sirius 20. seems like everything was grunge in 96. thats what i didnt like. but then again back then i felt like thaose artists were trying to kill off my favorite artists. now that i have xm and sirius i no longer feel that way today.

Thanks for posting that, I don't have a lot of audio left from that station, oh the stories I could tell about that place. I do remember the last night, it was turned off at midnight on my shift, and one by one all the jocks started coming in, we began playing "it's the end of the world as we know it" over and over until they killed the signal. Than after a few people looted the place we all got in our cars and went home. I remember being interviewed by Gaurantee about coming to work for them, when I was asked about my musical preference, and responding "I'll play just about anything but country" little did I know, needless to say they never called me back. I never did get a pink slip. Anyway, that was fun to listen to, thanks again.
