100.9FM in central Arkansas

Yesterday, I was surfing the FM dial at lunchtime and came up on programming on 100.9 FM and the DJ mentioned Little Rock. Is there a new gospel/religious station on this frequency or is this coming from another area?

It's KVDW. Vernon Wells' radio station out of England, AR. The 100.9FM feed is a translator of 1530AM and yes it is a gospel station.

Ah, I see. I didn't realize that. Does he plans to move onto the FM signal and leave the AM frequency?

The FM is a translator, not a full-power station. So, he can't leave the AM frequency without finding another full-power frequency to replace it.

That K265EO translator has a nice reach, I can hear them at the house with the receiver/outdoor antenna. Those 250 watt (ERP) translators are more powerful than one thinks if the antenna is up high and in a good location. I can often hear the two religious translators (88.7 and 93.1) out of Pine Bluff at home bandscanning.
