101.1 is stunting

101.1 stunting as "Bad 101" with all songs that have "Bad" in the title. I only noticed because I got a little trigger-happy with the seek button and overshot 100.7. I assume this is how most people find out 101.1 is there because there is never any outside advertisement.

I believe this is the first time 101.1 has originated programming (as opposed to simulcasing one of a multitude of Jacksonville/Morehead frequencies) since increasing power and changing frequency from 92.3 in the early 90s.
 
On the Rock 105 website (carolinaspurerock.com)

It's hard to so this but...

The "higher ups" at our company have decided that 101.1 will be changing its music format after Monday, Jan 2nd at 3pm. This is a choice that is beyond the control of station management at Rock 105. We feel extremely blessed to have been able to broadcast a REAL rock station in the Greenville/New Bean/Kinston area for the time that we were on 101.1.

PLEASE NOTE that 105.5 is not going anywhere!

Rock 105 has been around for 40+ years and we will continue to rock the coast of ENC (Jacksonville, Wilmington, Sneads Ferry, Atlantic Beach, etc.) on 105.5 FM

The lack of interest in radioland about this pretty much represents the way the general public feels too. I bet we could count on our collective hands (just in this thread so far) the number of people listening to this. No one knows its there and the signal is horrible!
 
I'm sure their idea of "variety hits" is the same old stuff over and over...Polka 101.1 is a much better idea.....
