101.1 Jack FM FINALLY streaming online without AOL!

The subject says it all... just go to http://www.ilikejack.com and click on "Listen Live"... all you'll have to do is register and click an activation link in the email you recieve.

NYC's Jack is FINALLY online without evil AOL.

I'm happy now ;D ...they also have a link to the HD2 oldies stream on the Jack front page as well!

Yeah, Mix 102.7 is another station I'd like to be able to listen online to. So, officially... 2 of the 3 CBS NYC stations are online Free FM & Jack FM... along with all 3 of the HD stations... KROCK2, CBS FM HD2, and 1010WINS. I wonder why it's taking so long to put Mix online... both Free and Jack haven't been around as long as Mix has, yet they're both streaming already.

???

Anybody can find out what the direct URL for the stream is?

Believe me, I'm trying to find it... I've even tried toying around with the "one size fits most" CBS station links...

mms://68.142.79.3/bdcast_infinity_wcbs-fm <--- that takes you to the WCBS-FM HD2 stream.

So I went to Radiomat.com (CBS Radio's home for all of their streaming stations)... and saw they changed the Radiomat link for WCBS HD2 to.. well, just that.. WCBSHD2. Jack's is WCBSFM.

So I changed the link to - mms://68.142.79.3/bdcast_infinity_wcbs-fm2 ... nothing.

then I tried mms://68.142.79.3/bdcast_infinity_wcbs-hd2 (for at least SOMETHING... and nothing.)

Same thing goes for Chicago's Jack. Doing mms://68.142.79.3/bdcast_infinity_wjmk-fm takes you to the WJMK HD2 oldies stream, but trying anything else in hopes of getting Jack has all but failed. They're doing a darn good job of hiding the bypass links for these two. The Jacks in LA, Minneapolis and Seattle are simple. Just change the above link to the respective calls (kjaq-fm for Seattle, for instance).

I'll keep trying... if I find a bypass, I'll be sure to let ya know. It'd sound better in my media player with my EQ settings anyway...

I found out that they have a new streamingprovider: streamtheworld.com maybe this helps. I think you can't find it with the current url's from the CBS stations.

Heh,i clicked that link and a 190M file began downloading (I cancelled it straight away ;D)

Careful Dude! You're gonna download the whole station!

190M, huh? Sounds like the size of a typical CBS playlist.
