I really don’t know if this is a stunt or they just flipped KGEO but they flipped it to just a translator of 94.1 HD2 so now it’s a flanker of hot challenging groove with throwbacks. But there are a lot more urban than groove. RIP KGEO sports.

Probably as well as KLOS or KTWV… Horribly. There’s serious terrain blocking.

I wonder if they considered using the KKXX brand for this. To me, it's nothing too exciting. I'd switch over if Groove was in commercials.

Going back to the 80's... KRTH really didn't show up.

KLOS did until KLLY 95.3 showed up and buried it with side noise.

Oddly, the station that came in quite well especially on the Eastside was 100.3 KIQQ/KQLZ

No, it's just more of a challenge. A good car radio or TEF6686 based portable can help.

A few years ago, 92.3 KRRL was probably one of the best signals at least for the higher elevation east side of Bakersfield. A little scratchy but definitely listenable. But then 92.1 KQKZ added HD.

95.5 KLOS is still easy to get on the east side, especially on the bluffs off Morning Drive. (I've also received 90.3 XHITZ there). In June 2020, there was a strong E-Skip event. I was driving around Bako listening to KLOS when all of a sudden, in perfectly clear full stereo, I was listening to 95.5 KAIQ "La Tricolor" from Wolfforth (Lubbock) Texas.

94.7 KTWV still comes in scratchy off Morning Drive bluffs. After the 2021 fire in Sequoia took out several Eshom Point transmitters, I consistently picked up 94.7 (and 95.5) along highway 43 south of Corcoran. HD for 94.9 KBOS has since been restored, so only 95.5 comes in now.

Driving to the Trail of 100 Giants in Sequoia Forest (Tulare County) several LA stations come in as well.
