101.5 "contest" winner??

I just heard an ad on 101.5 that said they welcome Roberta Gale to NJ101.5, Monday through Thursday 7 - 11pm.

So is their "contest" over? If she's the "winner", what kind of contest was it? Can you advertise and have people participate in a contest and then not really have a contest at all?

Never Mind

Just before the 12:48 traffic, Judy read the ad again about the search for the night time host, so I'm going assume that they're still having the contest, although the "welcome Roberta" spot makes it sound like she's the replacement.

My bad - carry on.

Re: Never Mind

I have heard that promo and I believe they do mention "special guest host Roberta Gale" to the station. Although I'm not quite sure why they would start that now when she's been on for three weeks.
______________

The "dream job" search has been a train wreck up till this point. They would be much better off keeping Roberta on full time.

Re: Never Mind

Ugh...I completely agree. The whole idea is so stupid and insane. First off, I'm so sick of people discussing and taking off American Idol like it's the "gospel" of all contests.

Secondly, why do I want to listen to someone with no experience just basically thrown off the street into a studio to yap for four hours...Roberta should definitely just do the show from Arizona full time.

Also I'm so sick of this "loves, lives, and relationships" garbage at night. Roberta at least does fun, lively topics and she always has something to say about it. She doesn't put me to sleep like the others have. I don't want to listen to something so serious at that hour.
______________
