101.5 hd2

Indeed, 101.5 hd2 is back; I checked yesterday in Eastern Hernando, I suppose for the few that have access to HD radio; people in the Riverview area south to the Hillsborough/Manatee county line (as well as Terra Verde) where the 97.1 signal is poor, the 101.5 Hd2 signal will be a God-send. Also out of market, but I also have noticed that 107.7 hd2 out of Orlando is now Smooth Jazz for those in n.e. Pasco and eastern Hernando with HD radios now have that as an option.

I had checked 101.5 as recently as a week ago today and there was no HD2 then on 101.5

Did the signal disappear already? I'm not picking 101.5-HD2 up on my Insignia HD radio but HD1 is coming in clear. Thonotosassa here.

Yeah it was short lived. It's gone again. Who knows what those clowns are doing over there with the HD2s. What a total waste.

I just returned from Gainesville (not many HD options there, other than WUFT 89.1, 89.1 HD2 and 89.1 HD3) and 89.5HD!................ At any rate, no 101.5 HD2, don't know if it's a maintainance issue or otherwise.

btw- if you have the Insignia table radio, I notice that they have come up with a revised model, bigger box, slightly smaller radio inside and it does not have an antenna input like my two older ones do and without that I would not be able to get any HD2 signal in eastern Hernando, but with an antenna taped to the window, I can pick the Orlando and Tampa HD channels. The Best Buy in St. Pete still has (as of Saturday, both the old and the new model). Best Buy in Gainesville (Archer Rd) only had the new model. Both still have the headphone jack, which can be used for external speakers.

........put 97.1 on 101.5 HD2 feed translator W246CY (97.1) then you would have pseudo booster in essence.

I think it has merit I couldn't see a big corporation putting something on channel to conflict with themselves. and in keeping with the onslaught in the translator game fits right in.

What station are you receiving in HD on 89.5? The only 89.5 I am aware is WKSG 89.5 Cedar Creek-Ocala but that station does not have a listenable signal in Gainesville, nor is it broadcasting an HD2 signal that I am aware. The only other 89.5 is WGSG Mayo which is off the air at the moment.

Sorry for the confusion, but that was a typo, that I didn't catch in time to edit (or notice until just now), I meant to say WKTK 98.5 HD. I was surprised that 103.7 country was not broadcasting in HD. Also WSKY 97.3 was broadcasting in HD.

Drt,
Often in the state of confusion! :)
