101.5FM in San Antonio??

I was driving on the Northwest side of San Antonio and I tuned into 101.5 thinking maybe I could still pick up 101X but instead I picked up a station with a "Talk" format, but when I tried to look it up on radio-locator it wasn't there, not even as a translator or unlicensed station. Is this a station similar to 90.1 in Austin, maybe an Alex Jones affiliate of sorts? It wasn't squatter-esque.

I tuned in 101.5 this evening for a few minutes while in Northwest SA and I didn't hear anything.

With the deep overcast we've had lately, it's plausible that you might have been hearing a station from some other part of the state.

Does anyone from San Antonio remember an unlicensed station from the NW side broadcasting on 101.5FM, maybe a year or two ago? It sounded similar to 90.1 in Austin, and I am pretty sure it was an affiliate of Independent Radio News, just as 90.1 in Austin is today.

The farthest south I have heard 101X clearly was at I 35 and Judson Rd in Northeast SA. And Ive heard 101X in Downtown SA, but it had so much static.

Ive never heard a talk formatted station on 101.5 in SA though.

I remember a conspiracy talk station a few years ago on 101.5 in SA, before that it was on 93.5 FM. It was a pirate like the station 90.1/89.1 in Austin. However I haven't heard it on in a few years and I think they shut it down.

The Austin station can be found here online, however they are looking for a new transmitter location according to the site. http://www.txlr.net/
