It's supposed to be this week I thought. I heard a dj on WKZQ say in 2 weeks they will be moving to 96.1. Anyone hear any announcements this week? By the way, it would be great to see Wave resurface.

the word is Apex is opening a brand new can of fart..Oldies to 95.9.

I hope they are wrong about the Oldies.
 
I think that an oldies station would be great. Ever since Clear Channel destroyed WXLY, Charleston has needed aa really good oldies station and I certainly hope that is what they do.

Well here we go again. Has anyone heard the movement talked about on 96.1 in Charleston or is the little news that does come keep comming from 101.7 in MB.

We had pretty good signal coverage right after the thunder storms yesterday. I could hear WKZQ on 101.7 good and heard their promo about a stronger clearer signal comming with in 2 weeks as they move to 96.1 FM. I turned to 96.1 and caught their promo about something big comming to Chuck town in the next two weeks, I guess the switch is on.

I ll tune in for a few in a couple weeks to check it out..how about a prediction? Special Ed to mornings.

Chuck's website is promoting the move to 101.7. I guess the guessing game to what format will land on 95.9 is about to begin. Heard a while ago whatever the station is was going to called BIG or XL or something like that. ???
 
10PM---All of Apex's FM stations are currently off the air (twice this week). It looks like their are testing something. All 3 stations have static in the background with some kind of knocking noise. I turned to 101.7 and heard the static and knocking sound also. (The Equalizer bars on my stereo were moving in the same pattern on all 4 stations. This went on for about 45 minutes, now its just static.)
