101.7 WVRR what are you supposed to be?

Ive been passing on through to go skiing at Okemo/Killington the last couple weeks It looks like they are Just playing music. No Liners, Adds and Dj's Etc...
about every hour too they have about 5-10 seconds of static where they go off the air entirely. What is going on with this station? about the only thing you hear outside of a pretty good mix of music is an occasional PSA, and the top of the hour ID. how the hell are they paying the bills?

They have a pending COL change to the throbbing metropolis of Westminster,VT as well as a change in frequency. Can't remember if 101.7 is the new freq or the old one. It's possible they were testing something...automation software, a new TX/processing/antenna etc. Anyone know if they have a stick up yet at their new site? (Fall Mtn, right?)
 
101.9. there is no ajacent interference except south toward springfield MA with 102.1's screaming signal. The 5 second static has been going on for a very long, long time... it's a bit annoying but its pretty quick that by the time you put it on 101.9 (to see if its on 101.9 and back to 101.7) the static is gone

101.7 is the old freq. (And who says Shapiro and company try to sell too much?? lol They givin folks a break with a frequency I guess they can't really sell cuz it won't be in the same market really.)
