101.9 pirate has lasted over a week now

They are rebroadcasting A State Of Trance hosted by Armin Van Buuren. Strong signal in parts of Mesa; have heard them faintly as far south as Williams Field Rd. and I can pick them up on the curve of the WB 202 to NB 101 transition road. Too strong to be a Part 15; too weak to be legal. Thing is, I can only get them in my car.

I've heard the pirate faintly as well down here in Gilbert. Signal is spotty at best in my car radio driving around Gilbert and I can't pick it up at all inside my house. Driving further north into Mesa, the signal is pretty strong, especially around north central Mesa.

Listening to the format kind of reminds me of the old Energy. I guess you could call this station Energy 101.9! ;D

Any idea on the general area of where the pirate is broadcasting from?

Sounds like your car's got a Gremlin ;D If Uncle Charlie makes a trip out to shut 'er down, then might as well check out that illegal power alien at 15~Tin...or the Lumberyard's infamous carrier dump sans station ID. But Nurse Jeff and I wonder what the big deal is all about as the FCC seems to want to litter the FM landscape with thousands of LPFMs.

Looks like the north Mesa pirate station may be having some issues today. Driving around north Mesa, the station appeared to be off the air when, all of a sudden, a strong signal came on carrying what appeared to be a live audio feed of CNN. I heard Anderson Copper interviewing Arizona's very own John McCain about Obama's big jobs speech today. Then, after a few minutes, the signal faded away and was back to dead air. No sign of the techno / dance music that was playing up until yesterday.

Maybe Mister Pirate is having some issues with his Lamptimer! ;D
