101.9 translator sold and will rebroadcast "La Poderosa"

According to RadioInsight : New Albany Broadcasting is purchasing 101.9 W270CR Okolona KY from Celebration Ministries for $1 plus an estimated $75,000 in costs to move the translator to the tower of 91.9 WFPK via a Mattoon Waiver to rebroadcast Regional Mexican “La Poderosa 1570” WNDA New Albany IN.

It seems that New Albany Broadcasting has purchased yet ANOTHER translator to rebroadcast 1600 WLRS from Eminence (which of course is the same as 1570)... 94.3 FM in LaGrange.

I wonder what they're up to...

I think you mean 94.1

Why does WLRS 1600 need to buy a translator for $10,000 when they are daytime only? WNDA 1570 is going to be using a translator at 101.9 anyway.
BTW 101.9 is currently silent while the tower is being moved.

The thing is: neither of these translators really do anything to bring their signal into Louisville even though those stations are more or less geared to Louisville, so I'm not QUITE seeing the point. But I'm sure there is one.

By what I saw the 94.1 translator will cover Shelbyville and that is an area with a large Spanish population. With the La Poderosa format I guess that's what they are looking at.

Why would anyone emigrate from Spain to Shelbyville?
