101.9's HD Transmitter GONE - AGAIN!

On Saturday Evening, the 2nd day of WFAN, they have apparently turned off their HD transmitter for the second time this year. You remember what happened earlier, and it was down for months until WRXP came along in July. I guess noone cares because almost no one has an hd radio in the tri-state area. I still listened to CD 101.9 HD2 alot, and now they cut it off. Also, before CBS took over and heard that CBS was going to buy 101.9, I thought that they might do something with the HD radio subchannels, like expand 101.9 HD2's playlist, and make it like their other stations, especailly 94.7 the wave, and add a new HD3 subchannel with a format NY doesnt have, like at least put New Rock, although other stations have alt on hd radio or comedy, a station from a different city, etc.

WFAN AM sounds so much better with the HD off. No more rushing water noise floor and full bandwidth audio.

It's still easier to hear the callers on AM the way they have the processing set up right now.

1010 WINS also turned off their HD. As of today, the only AM HD stations left in NYC are 710 WOR, 880 WCBS, and 1560 WQEW.

Is 1010's HD off for good?
