Do they update their playlist weekly/monthly, or has it been the same for a long time. MGK updates about ever four/six months, adding and taking, BUT if you do email them and tell them what you desire they will get it on, within reason (I guess the Clock by the Contenders is out of reason lol). I emailed them a few months ago and asked for Don't Bet Money Honey - Linda Scott and Sukiyaki - Kyu Sakamoto. Received a nice email from the PD Tony Harris thanking me for listening and sure enough the next day they were added. BTW its been three years this Memorial Day that they flipped to oldies, before that they were called Deep Trax and played very obscure Classic Rock Foghat - Third Time Lucky was the most familiar song they played.

One last post on this, since I've nearly hijacked the thread -- sorry, everyone. AFAIK, the playlist has been unchanged for several years, since the songs I mentioned earlier disappeared. I notice a certain amount of repetition if I listen for several days straight, but even then, it seems that every two- or three-hour listening session will bring a few more songs I hadn't heard at all. I can only guess that there are hundreds of songs -- those with No. 30 to No. 40 Billboard peaks -- that are programmed to come up less than once a week, maybe even less than once a month.

I don't think Red Wolf management cares about this HD2 stream at all. It just keeps running because, apparently, the music, the jingles, the liners and everything else came with the station as part of the transaction with Connoisseur Media, which, in turn, had picked it up from Buckley. I'm kind of surprised Red Wolf hasn't put its own, tight-playlist "Kool oldies" format -- currently heard on three AMs and a network of translators in Rhode Island, Connecticut and Massachusetts -- on the DRC-FM HD2 by now, truth be told.
