101 the rose geting lucky!

No luck involved, whether you like there music or not, they simply sound good, jocks have personality, the station simply has a gret team, that makes the whole package simply sound great. One of the few stations in the area that doesnt sound like a cookie cutter "Cheap Channel, Cumulus" station. I agree, a lot of stations made idiotic decisions, two winks, just added yet another country station to the list, and a Howrad Stern wanna be on WLAN. ROSE, DONT CHANGE A THING YOUR "WINNING" !!!!!!!!

The Rose does local radio the way it's supposed to be done. Look at what they've accomplished in the past few years:

1. Managed to knock out the market's long time heritage AC WARM. Now a HOT AC with a Harrisburg morning show. And the Rose counters by adding a third strong player to their morning show.

2. Survived all the different contemporary formats on 1067. From Cool Pop to Gold based AC mix to 90s Gen X Channel, the Rose has not missed a beat.

3. Actually both York and Lancaster well in their programming and promotions.

Getting lucky? No. It's called a consistent product for years. Rarely do I say bravo toward any radio station but the Rose gets it.

Lots of talk about Lancaster. Any word on the Fall 2011 ratings? It would be interesting to know whether The Rose actually got some numbers from Christmas music this year. For once, they started early enough to impact the ratings.

Specific ratings should not be shown here. However, for those who have seen them, the Rose did quite well in both Lancaster and York. They nailed their target demos. One of their best books ever.

Shouldn't the Fall 2011 ratings be posted already? It has Sp 11 as the lastest. I also thought it was ok to mention specific numbers now that Arbitron is linked on the site.

The numbers for York and Harrisburg are embargoed by Arbitron.
They will not be posted. This is a result of a number of corporate
operators not subscribing. Those of us who do subscribe have the numbers.

Another factor.....the Rose had the Christmas game all to themselves this year. That alone may have made a difference.
