What was on 1010 before it became Sports?
I have always questioned that "50kw" signal. Where is it? Are they including the light bulbs for the security lighting in the Parking Lot?rfrus said:1010's biggest problem has always been coverage. They have a good narrow east-west signal, but nothing north-south. 50,000 watts from Seffner that cant be heard in Bradenton is pretty poor coverage.

It must have the strangest pattern that touches all of the farms and lakes and none of the roads.
It isn't even good in St. Pete for an East-West pattern.
This is designed to be humorous, but I'd really like to know what was the intention of the signal and did it accomplish it?
Jeff in Sa-ra-so-ta!

It's so the sales staff could tell potential advertisers that the station is 50,000 watts strong and hope they don't ask 50,000 watts strong, but how.
