- "Station Manager" Mike Pepper has been keeping a low profile the last few months. The decision to put "The Dan Patrick Show" on was not his but rather a mandate from corporate who wanted something more "professional sounding" on the coveted 9AM-12PM slot. Ratings for all the shows are terrible, and it was Pepper's idea to bring back the sports format (after classic country...after The Buzz).
- The station is essentially a sports version of Tan Talk. The Sports Chix, J.P. Peterson, and The Tampa Two do not draw a salary from CBS, but rather get a larger percentage of self-generated advertising revenue than contracted talent (and in the Chix case the word talent is used very loosely). Outside of their scant live reads, the Chix don't earn anything (Hooters basically buys the airspace for them as part of their advertising budget) and just do the show for fun.
- J.P. Petersen has been criticized internally for the insane number of live reads and sponsors he brings on as guests. J.P. is paying tons in alimony/child support to his ex-wife and barely breaks even on his show. "Big Papi" David Ortiz has rubbed a lot of the office workers the wrong way and there is a growing push to get J.P. to dump Ortiz and do the show solo. Ortiz actually tried to convince his bosses to let him do all of the station imaging, which was met with bemusement.
- No one thinks the Tampa Two are any good, but they're better than Pepper and Kraznycki (sp?).
- There are no overnight boardops, obviously.
