Could 1010 The Buzz face trouble for its name?

Cromwell, Clear Channel Settle "Buzz" Suit

The CROMWELL GROUP and CLEAR CHANNEL have settled a federal trademark suit over the use of the term BUZZ as a radio slogan. CLEAR CHANNEL has agreed to license the slogan for "certian specified markets"; CROMWELL sued the company in JUNE 2004 for trademark infringement.

CROMWELL Pres. BUD WALTERS, in a press release, says that the company plans to continue protecting the BUZZ trademark and encourages any stations that may currently be utilizing BUZZ without a license to be proactive in contacting the company at 615-361¬7560 or by fax at 615-366-4313 or via e-mail at [email protected]
