Huh? Both Radio-Locator and RecNet show WGUN at a full 50kW from sunup to sundown (78W night). No cutback during critical hours. Had they cut their power back for some reason despite being licensed to go higher? And what would be the benefit of 45kW to anyone during critical hours? Might as well do 50K at that point.
Frankly, I think critical listeners would be more of interest to this station...maybe the forthcoming Rocker & Shapiro sportstalk debate show will take care of that (and raise the ratings of both WGUN and WQXI in the process).
I do not see the 10kw licensed critical hours. I see a daytime of 50kw. Mind you, I just glanced, but the FCC sight application appears to reduce power from 50kw to 45kw during critical hours. What am I missing?
FCC shows a daytime license of 50kW with no critical hours power-down. But this narrative says that CH power is currently 10kW, and they are wanting to up to 45kW.
They could use a night signal most of all, but there are stations in Jax and Tampa that have 30k and 5k (respectively) directional night signals, so southerly directional for WGUN isn't really an option.
I remember when WGUN did not even have thier 78 watts at night... I have never seen a critical hours listing in their info... even back when we got all of our info from the Broadcasting Yearbook. I am confused.
