1010 XL Jacksonville

I normally dont pick up AM1010 XL Jacksonville during the daytime but at nightime I can get it loud and clear in Tallahassee and big bend area. Did they change thier nightime patten?

1010 XL-50,000 watts daytime 30,000 watts nightime

They should have expanded their western coverage over a decade ago. No more need to protect Crestview.

Probably due to some of this weather. I picked it up too.

We dont pick up AM-1010 from Tampa Bay here in north florida but we do pick up WDAE,WWBA,WHBO 620,820,1040 and a few others around Tallahassee and big bend area. I dont understand why AM-1010 Jacksonville send thier 50,000 watts daytime singal out to the water to the eastside of Jacksonville.

I'm in south FL and have yet to hear it, 50k OR 30k. 1010 is a mess.

When I lived in South Florida from 1999 to 2001, I remember being able to pick up 1010 WINS from New York, nowhere near as strong as WCBS or WABC, but it was there. The funny thing is, even before 1010 in Jacksonville Beach added a nighttime signal in the 90's, I don't recall ever receiving WINS in Northeast Florida. ???

But I do recall sitting in the parking lot of TGI Friday's at Baymeadows listening to 1020 KDKA from Pittsburgh in the 90's.
