102.1 Brocton.

Is this a new pirate or did they just get better equipment ?

They sound real nice in Avon, but fade in Randolph.

Haitian music format.

Most likely a pirate.
A list of low power FMS has nothing on 102.1 for Brockton http://lpfmdatabase.weebly.com/database---la-to-mt.html

Supposedly there is a 102.1 translator in Quincy, W271CG... 10 watts. Quincy to Brockton is about a distance of 10 miles.
https://radio-locator.com/cgi-bin/finder?call=W271CG&x=8&y=6&sr=Y&s=C
(said to be repeating WRYP Wellfleet though radio-locator says WRYP is currently off air...though RenewFM site lists an "88.3 Cape Cod")

Going back aways maybe to 2008 or so, Bruce Conti's list of low power stations (incl unauthorized) listed:
102.1 WRCX R.Continentale/Power FM, Brockton - R&B/Haitian/Hispanic. Off the air? <www.metrocompas.com> http://www.bamlog.com/bostonlp.htm

Just now in Beverly-Salem area I got a mix on 102.1 of classic hits from NH seacoast and apparently that religious translator from Quincy
(Mentions of Scripture).Don't know if latter normally reaches Brockton but if so they now have a pirate infringing on their territory.

That list is not at all current for Brockton. There has not been a 102.9 pirate there in years. I believe the current pirate lineup for Brockton is 87.9, 90.7, 94.9, 96.5, 100.1, 101.9, 102.1, and 105.3. Might have missed one or two.

Quite a few. Btw some kind of unlicensed station perhaps from Boston (reaching North Shore) is on 87.7. Long set of ads near top of hour including Tide, Lowe's and Pepsi. Soul music...maybe FCC has no plans to go after an 87.5 and no complaints from stations.

I believe that's the powerful "B87FM", the formerly "Hot (whatever frequency number)" pirate that's been on from Dorchester for many years, and has settled on 87.7 for a few years now. It had been on 97.5 and other frequencies. A Hip-Hop/R&B format.

Their website: https://b87fm.com/

Yes I thought I heard a quick mention of B87.
They were running a bunch of ads, one or two locally based but national too.It went into a version of I'm Saving All My Love for You
