102.1 Jam/KRBQ

This station seems to be in deep trouble. 1.3 rating. Never showing up in the ratings in any age group.

Audacy seems to be less afraid of trying new things than other groups. Is there a good option here? At this point I’d be interested to see anything tried out.

I wish another radio group would buy the property so the Bay could have more modern rock, but that’s a pipe dream/dream dial scenario. Could an active rock station work in the bay? Maybe. But nobody would try it.

So the realistic option is to adjust the format or swap it. What could we see tried?

With the market now less than 40% non-Hispanic white, I see little opportunity for any all or mostly white focused format.

Well , they keep doing the same over and over and expect different result. They had this format years back even with the same DJs, That did not work. They brought back !!!the same format with the same DJs!!!!! Go figure!!! some voices/djs are so burned out .

That is a 1.3 share. The rating wobbles between 0.1 and 0.0

This company is doing a similar format in NYC with similar weak results. Both stations feature Ed Lover as a host. Both stations use the same content on their web sites. Audacy seems pretty committed to doing this format regardless of the ratings. That tells me they're not selling it based on ratings, but perhaps on the uniqueness of the audience. When you get good ratings, you sell the ratings. When you don't, you sell something else.
