Can anyone take a listen to this station and tell me what it sounds like?

I could comment - but then the vast and powerful forces that be would relegate me to that wasteland known by all as -- unemployement.

Wait a couple of days and all will be revealed.

Radio-locator says

KBUD 102.1 FM, owned by (guess who), GSF himself.

They're going to have to "jack" the power up (pun intended)
if he's going to do what I think he is....

It doesn't matter -- from a Memphis standpoint -- what they do. 60 dbu doesn't make it north of Senatobia. Jack it up, y'all.

DE
(Soon to be back on-air. It's sad, really :) )

According to ALL ACCESS, this will be a simulcast of Q107.5. CFKane

Towers and signals can be moved. Look what barnstable did with the tupelo signal. If I'm not mistaken it's now a memphis station coming out como or coldwater.

They can. But, not without applying first. Nothing currently on-file.

And, btw, such changes can take YEARS, assuming they can work at all. So, at least for now (and probably for a long, long, long time) 102.1 is stuck as a class A in a nuthin' little town.

And, I am not going to say 102.1 could never move, but, gosh, it would be hard. Real hard.

What's the point? were some Ole Miss coeds from East Shelby & Desoto
whining because they missed the Q?

It's on now. But, there are some significant audio issues.

More likely, Flinn lma'd the station to someone who couldn't make the payments so he took it back over. Sardis is not what you might call a thriving media market. So what if Flinn simulcast Q107 on it. It won't make a dent. CHR is a dying format, thanks to Ipods, satellite, etc. Jack or any other format works well on city grade signals, not the rimshots that Flinn owns.

well the station that was there targetted Batesville, Senatobia, and Oxford....
Honestly it could have made a go with it probably if a sales force could beat it...

Slightly wrong on one part, David. Charley Pride has no interest whatsoever in his cousin's car lot.
