102.1 X--(DENVER) is back for now...

I saw it posted on the Denver Board. Apparanly someone has bought the station, and is airing old airchecks of the station. Could this mean that Dance is going to stay in this frequency, or is this more likely temporary until the owners put up a completely different Format.

Awesome! Let's hope it's permanant!

According to the tally I have running over at http://www.USDanceRadio.com , that brings the number up to 20 terrestrial stations that regularly rotate some form of electronica and/or dance into their formats. (Plus 3 on HD-2, so if you count them, it's 23)

And rumor is that another one is coming soon. If KXDC is permanant, it's a great way to start off 2006!!

I hope this one about Denver is the real deal. Lets keep our fingers crossed that NRC retains the Dance format at KXDC.

I also have heard rumors about another station going the Dance route, so it might be the same one you mentioned, but then again I wouldn't be surprised if another one might come down the pipeline. And like you said it'll be a great way to start off 2006.

((Crossing fingers)). This would allow the the Denver dial to be up there with Seattle and Phoenix again in terms of commercial FM diversity.

I spoke with management yesterday and they plan on going a different direction when NRC officially has ownership of the signal.

Geez, that signal is all the way out in Estes park, plus it is surrounded by two other rimshot stations on 101.9, and 102.3. I think they had a better signal back when they had the dance format. Their was nothing on 101.9 and 102.3, and im thinking they had a translator closer to Denver at that time. I would say this signal is a waste, if they plan on using it to target Denver.

If I remember right, the station simulcasted dance on two different signals around Denver... I seem to recall that both sticks were out in the boonies though. I never really did know much about those guys, they never had a webcast, and I never saw a playlist for them.
